I am going to hand in my health insurance confirmation tday, so I need some advice. First of all, Im definitely going to go with the st georges plan (for convenience, etc). Anyway, plan one is $1723 for the year and plan 2 is $1073. With plan one, its a $50 deductible each time u have a visit, $5 for prescriptions (10 for brand name). With plan 2, its a $500 deductible for the year, and once thats met, the rest is paid (and meds are $15 and $30). Looking at this, it seems like it makes no sense to get plan one. Even in the worst case scenario with plan 2 where I had to go to the doctors alot where the $500 deductible is met, I still come out $200 bucks ahead. Am I crazy, or does plan 2 seem like the much smarter choice? The only way I can see plan one being better is if u have to take a ton of medicine where the extra 10 dollar charge will add up to hundreds of dollars eventually. AM I nuts or is plan 2 just much smarter?The coverage and benefits are the same by the way.
