Hey,
I just got back from my trip to Grenada and the island is incredible. All the people I met were very friendly and helpful. Everyone who I walked by always smiled back at me and said hello.... Very friendly and helpful people.
I took a lot of pictures of the island and the school. If anyone wants to check them out click the following links: St. George Medical School (http://www.kmobile.com/I.jsp?c=xinop9d.1xqo8luh&x=0&y=-4slr0e) and Grenada (Pics of some of the sites) (http://www.kmobile.com/I.jsp?c=xinop9d.8cwj62c9&x=0&y=-tj4fcr)
The one thing I forgot to take and will not forget this August is bug repellent. On the campus I didn't see many flies, but on the island in some areas there are thousands. Especially at the Rum factory.
I hope you all enjoy the pictures. I tried to take pictures of everything especially since not all my family was able to visit the island with me on this trip.

Anuj, thanks much for the pics! I dont think I'll be able to visit before this fall and I was curious about many campus facilities (gym, bathrooms, etc.). that view from the plane is pretty nice!

Thanks for the pictures. Man, those dorm rooms look really tiny, don't they? The kitchen portion looks good though, so cooking in the rooms shouldn't be too bad.
I see you took lots of pics of the rum factory....interesting!

Hey,
Nice to see everyone liked the pics.

I was in grenada for 4 days with my mom. It gets boring if you go alone and don't know anyone there.

Yea, the dorm rooms are mad small. Its amazing how they fit 2 sets of beds, dressers, and desks, with a full kitchen and bathroom into that small area. Unfortunately you can't move anything around, it all looked like it was screwed to the wall. They told me that these were the worst rooms on campus and all first year med students get them.
You definetely have to check the rum factory out. They gave you taste of it at the end of the tour (about half a shot).
Beautiful pics Anuj.

So every room in the superdorm has their own little kitchen space as well?
That's good for cooking I suppose and storing food/beer in the fridge!

Thanks for those pics!
The pictures that were posted here are of Superdorm I.

However, the pictures used by the marketing folks at the school gives a different feeling for the dorms. Which dorms are those? Are they the same dorm rooms or are they for a newer dorm? Unfortunately, I can't find a link to one of the pictures I'm referring to but the picture (there's a guy reading a book at the table) is on page 2 of the Residential Life book they sent us. Also, there were pictures of the room in the presentation. I'm just curious if they dolled up and/or Photoshop-ed a room for the shot or it's a completely different room than those in Superdorm I.
I know I'll find out in August but I can't wait.

Hey Docks,
I believe those pics are of the nice, 6 person dorms for upper termers. Can anyone confirm?

the pic is of a room in a 4 person single's suite. The student's name is Nick, was a vet student, just finished his basic years in grenada and now is in the states. Was a friend of mine and wish him luck with the rest of his sgu career

u shud appreciate the housing at sgu, cuz the on campus housing in st. vincents are old military barraks stuck in the middle of a jungle surrounded my mountains.
Not to mention, guys are only guaranteed on campus housing for term 1. You will have to luck it out in the lottery for term 2. Girls on campus housing is guaranteed the entire time in Grenada.
