Is anyone familiar with the waiting list procedure?

My buddy just got put on the waiting list for the fall 04 class. He is 11 out of 60, so what do you think of his chances for this fall?? Any idea around what time period he'll hear good news if he indeed does?

Better than my chances on the on-campus housing waiting list.... 27 out of who knows how many... :-(

so i take it that when st. george officials are saying they're still accepting people for fall '04, they mean they're putting them on the waiting list first and then, if lucky enough, into the class?
