Just had my interview today, thought I'd post the questions for the other prospect medical students who applied to Saba.

1. Why do you want to be a physician?
2. How will you finance your education?
3. How did you hear about Saba?
4. What do you like about Saba?
5. What are your strengths?
6. What are your weaknesses?
7. Comment on your academic performance and MCAT results
8. Comment on your clinical and research experiences
9. Are you ready for an island life?
10. What are your travel experiences?
11. What are your plans from now until the start of MD program?
12. What do you intend on pursuing if medicine doesn't work out for you?
13. Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?

It was about 30 minutes long, with 3 admission committee members on speaker phone. Avoid using a cell phone like I did, since it was quite difficult to make out what they were asking.

On a minor note, September class is already full and there's currently a waiting list.

Who were the admission interview members? MD's? When do you anticipate a response?- For September? Did you also apply to Nevis/MUA? Do you think there will be any difference in the program?-

Who were the admission interview members? MD's?

Ms. Bernice M Ouellet- University Registrar
Lucille *******- Ph.D., Coordinator
Ms. Joanne Lafortune- Educ Info Coordinator

When do you anticipate a response?

I applied for admission in January. I should hear back from them in about two weeks.

Did you also apply to Nevis/MUA?

No, I didn't.

Do you think there will be any difference in the program?

I have limited understanding on MUA curriculum, but I hear that the two schools are affiliated and operated under the same owner. I would expect them to be very similar if not identical.

So September is full? Is this for sure? that means residency would be a year later if one were going to go in January.
