A pt with Histoplamosis. What is the MOA of the medication given?
Histo is a fungus involving antifungals as tx. Amphotericin B is one of the more common. Its MOA has to do with forming pores in the fungal membranes, so I think that is the correct answer.
"AmphoTEARicin works by TEARing holes in the fungal membranes"
ref: kaplan pharm, micro, and first aid pharm
