Dear friends i finished my exam an hr back , I cant say how good was my test but I did a mixed performance . Some Q r pretty straight forward , some u think little and get to know by ruling out the choices , some really kills your time ..u get frustrated and tick and move on. I 'll say my paper was mixed but less of pathophysio , may be pathophysio were those simpler chunk that I couldnt realise in flow of exams ..but usually what I was stuck with the antomy ( that was my least studied subject ) .
overall my test had lot of anatomy ..UL , LL some with clinical presentation some without that . But I wont say they r being unfair as they ask very clinical relevent things showing angiograms ....now u will tickle your brain form those clinical days of your medical school if u have not studied this subject in detail .
Biochem ...not much ..only few metabolic enz defects
pharamm ...some simple ..mechanism of action ..some they corelated with micro ..but they were simple if u know the mechanism . mainly antiviral , antica , diabetic , diuretics
immuno and mol biology ..i got a lot of them ... some were really research oriented ..u will have no clue . Some u can dig deep to get an ans ...if they introduce some genes to introduce some intarleukins ..what will happen ....those kind of things .Just dont loose your patience seeing those kind of Q . I really kept my self cool and struggled with these brain teasers ..but if u quite few of such kind in 1 block u run out of time ..this happened with me in 3rd block . 1st and 2nd block was easy and 2nd block I even saved few min but in 3rd block and last block I ran out of time for few Q and I just clicked on something rather than leaving it .
PHYSIO ...u will be surprised not much . I got only 2 Q i guess from whole respy , 1 or 2 endo , CVS there were quite few ..murmers especially . not many graphs or tables .
Patho also not much as I told u ..mostly pathophysi was combined or they will combine with some micro .something like that .
one HLA Q , Brachial plexus 2 Q ( THESE WERE SIMPLE ANAT >>>THERE WERE MANY MIND TEASERS FOR ME ), genetics were simple calculation , mol bio read transcription translation I think hY is enough but try to understand the concepts as Q wont be direct usually .BEH SC ....dr pt ofcourse , some personality disorder , consents , etc
so to sum up my paper was not very typical . But I ll still say that the test is really fairly conducted thay test your knowledge from a clinician point of few. Dont just rely on one subject but study every subjects from clinical view points . If its not clinically relevent they dont ask !
Although my paper was not from pathophysio chunk main . but for the beginners i will still suggest to start your prep from the patho physio . As if u master these 2 subjects u can tackle others at the very end . Anat will hardly take 1 wk if u do oriented study . Mol biology understand main concepts .
