Hi everybody. I was a silent observer for about a month. Took the test yesterday along with 2 other guys i met at the testing center. A few advices:
1-try to sleep well the night before, although i went to bed early that night, i couldn't fall asleep at all. I think i dozed off for 1 or 2 hours but that's it.
2-the test is doable. Don't worry to much. I am not just saying this to calm you, but i honestly think that if you study pathology well enough you have a good chance to pass it.
3-during the breaks i talked to the other guys taking the test and i can tell you one thing for sure: Pathology is the core; then they will throw some pretty much obvious Pharma questions, mostly linked to either pathology, microbiology, or biochem.
To make a long story short, there is no standart composition of questions. There is however a "tendency" for each test. You might get more immunology or more micro etc...but the core will remain patho.
There were about 2-3 pictures per block, mostly CNS, or CV. I got a few X-rays and MRI, asking to identify either a vessel or an organ. Read the text first! Most of the time you'll get it.
Also there were quite a few questions about some experimental techniques in recombinant DNA, transgenic mouses, etc... Use your common sense, the answer stands out most of the time.
So if you can recall most of the stuff from FA, and I mean recall without any doubts, you will pretty much feel comfortable at the test. Also don't forget to check WebPath images, it can help you.
Well as far as i'm concerned, i know i didn't get all the questions right, i just hope i won't be disappointed at the end with a failure.
I wish y'all a good luck and try to cover everything, even if not in details, but very widely and wizely...:)
