I am new to this site. I graduated Cum Laude in Biomedical Sciences along with a minor in Spanish, my GPA was 3.55 and I recieved a 21Q on the MedCAT. My recs are strong as well as my volunteer, extracurricular, et cetera. At current, I am working for an Eye Bank procuring corneas for transplant, a great health-related experience. I am applying for August 2005, what are my chances for matriculation to SGU? Appreciatively, A.T.

Your GPA is very solid. However, you should really consider retaking the MCATs in August and shooting for a score in the mid-20's. Everything else (recs, volunteer work, etc.) seems to be great. Try to bring that MCAT up and you should be quite competitive for the August 2005 class. Great luck!

I think you have some good chances. The school looks at the whole application. They may ask you to retake the MCAT and you can then decide.
