Can someone explain to me how residency match works.
i was told the best way to get your first choice, if it's competitive such as surgery, is at a community program or a less desirable hospital program, is this info. correct?

Actually that is terrible advice. had I dont that lord knows what residency program id have been at. DO NOT TRY TO "PLAY" THE MATCH. If you get an interview, they are interested in you. Go with it. Will this always work? No. no promises. but why bother to apply if you arent going to rank a good program well? The rank list works in the applicants favor so trying to play it that way *usually* works against you.


but then im annoyed there is so ice cream so who knows how good this information is.
