I'm just reading thru the chat transcript since I was not able to attend the chat. I noted that you said that free radical injury most likely happens in zone 1, around the central vein. I agree with around the central vein. But I have a problem with calling that area zone 1. From my understanding, tha zoning is a triangle with the central vein(terminal hepatic vein)as the apex, and the portal triad at one end of the base. Zone 1 is closest to the vascular supply(portal triad). Zone 3 abuts the central vein. While zone2 is intermediate.
That would make the place around the cental vein zone 3.
