hi friends,
first let me thank all of u for the great information u have put here.got my score two days back bit sad as i was not able to get the magic 90 .igot 219/89.
i dont know how of much of my exam experience will help u but i sincerely want to say one thing on the day of exam go with loads of positive attitude.go to hall thinking that i have studied somuch and i will just do it.u have to boss the exam not the opposite.before i have gone to the exam i did kaplan simulated CD .i didnt do it consistently for 7hrs but did every block a day with good concentration.i got almost in all the blocks a score of 38 -40.yeah i think this cd really helps u to assess urself,.i did one block per day as during exam v cant sit still for 7hrs as there will b tension no matter what.right.
coming onto my books i read kaplan,goljan,hy neuro,gross and histo.ofcourse first aid.
my exam had lots of patho atleast 50 questions which r really recollecting types,biochem keep on viewing this forum and u will feel so happy during the exam.believe me especially biochem and pharmac do a lot of discussions.physiology ofcourse lots of graphs.since i used to luv them there wasnt any problem.immuno u got to know lots of basics especially about interleukins,antibodies etc.gross anatomy there few MRI and CT.MRI were bad or may i couldnt interpret them properly.CT kaplan is more than enough.behavioural.s nothing much can b done .i got very less micro,no organism were asked lots of behavioural and immuno .qsometimes i feel i did a good job by getting score in such paper but again ii feel i should have atleast 4 more qs in micro i would have been in those lucky ones who got 90s.anyway nomore postmortem.right.please also do robbins pathology q s and webpath.i was not all panicked by seeing so many pictures on the exam as iam already with them through the webpath.
do also goljan hy 100 pages.really gives good clues of what the exam is expecting from u.b sure to do the CD which usmle has sent u as i got a q from them.1 more can make lots of differenceiam the live example.ok friends,all the best.any doubts r defintely wecomed
