This is fun! You have a Saturday test ... you don't have a Saturday test. Monday might be something different!
Goodbye,
Moral of the story ... BLOCKS STILL BITE!

What next? 180 new openings/vacancies in the dorms?
Stop with the mind games already and let us get down to what matters most...studying and passing all of our classes.

This is purely AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! :D

It sounds like your voices were heard!

I'm glad the faculty listened, I was beginning to wonder about my choice of AUC as a school because of the lack of support toward the students I had been reading for the last year. This is a step in the right direction.

Now if you guys could get the **** "Gold Paint" coffer to be put in a trust fund for graduating students to cover the $800 graduation fee.

ALoha,

ok guys... i know that we are all a bit tired, overworked, stressed etc etc... but i thought this is what third semester wanted... better to fix a mistake before it actually happens (ie. sat exams). i was surprised that my class suggested this schedule; to have pharm and psych together but anyways... it got changed... so do what you do best and kick some
a&s.

i know i would have gotten happy responses if i had posted... EXAMS ARE DEAD!!! JUST COME BY THE DEANS OFFICE AND RECEIVE YOUR MD. but then i would have had to pinch myself and wake up.

good luck to all,

we are more than half way done with this semester

I don't know, I'm still hearing conflicting data on this. The 4th semester saturday exams are dead as well as the 1st semesters(they never existed). The 3rd semester exam schedule is still up in the air as far as I'm concerned.

BTW< keep up the good work newbies.... voice your opinions!

i was at the registrar's office when the dean brought the typed new schedule down from his office. it includes all semesters on it.

Now we can only hope the students concerns continue to be taken in to account and that the block exam schedule is abolished from the next semester, as it is quite obviously a disaster.

PS. Of course this means that no longer is anything " set in stone" as we were informed the former revised block schedule was. All bets are off now. But I am greatful for the lesser of two evils as I think the saturday exam would have had a negative impact on both of Monday tes

i think this schedule is much more sane! putting the two most difficult classes together on fridays is what got people...i've gotten used the the block exams and now look forward to having two and a half weeks with no exams.....maybe its bc i was so neurotic that from 1st semester i stuy almost every subject every day that it didn't hit me that hard i don't know but if they do like ross and curve the blocks i am all set.....

block exams aren't that bad if you line them up like this they seem more manageble psych and pharm on the same day and the weekend for path is good news to me...

It's like I've said all along...it's reverse psychology. Students complain about something bad (like the Blocks) so admin makes it worse. Suddenly the alternative looks a helluva lot better and the students want to change it back to the way it was. Guess what? Admin graciously changes it back to the original block schedule with a few minor time adjustments here and there, and Voila! Instant mollification! Both admin and students get what they want...only we never wanted blocks in the first place. So who's the real winner here?

Admin 2, Students 0

What about upcoming Saturday findal exams? I am not too happy about it, either.
What's your opinion?

DON'T WANT THEM....
aren't there enough weekdays to distribute all the finals for all the semesters WITHOUT touching the weekends (well, particularly sat., since there are no sunday exams)?? couldn't there be one exam on each day for each semester throughout the 5 weekdays?
but, that's my $0.02 on that.... :?
