I scored 420 on NBME about a month before the exam, then a took a 5 day vacation and I went back home, studied for a week and took the the othe NBME - 370. I was not concentrated during my second test, b/c i took the timed one an was trying to take notes, so I studied for another week and I took it again - 570. It is important to learn every concept from this exam, b/c it comes straight form the source, i.e. the NBME, so I suggest to take the self paced one and to very carefully review every concept that you're unfamiliar with. same for the cd. Again, i relied on my short-term memory, so i took the final exam few days before the real one, but I was surprised to see that the behavioral did not match my preformance on the real test at all! on nbme i had very high score, but did not goo on the real test. I think this is because they had many weird ethical questions, and I did not have a good source for it! hope this helps!
