Hi there! Up until now I have had no trouble getting answers to email questions from the main office but now that I am trying to see what is going on with my application I can't get any answers! My application was complete at the begining of May and was supposed to be reviewed when the adcom came back from break but I have gotten zero answers! I wa shoping to get into the Sept class but at the rate I am getting info there os no way I can sell my house and move down there for the next incoming class. Any suggestions as to who I should contact or what to do at this point?

have you tried phoning your admissions counselor yet? Keep being persistent.

My application was complete(according to MEIO) end of April and I was told the adcom was off for a semester break at the begining of May and would review my app and send me a response. Now I have been trying to get ahold of my admin counsler and I get ZERO for a reply!

It seems like an inordinate amount of time from the time you app was completed in April until now for them to be holding a decision...you know how MEIO is with "misplacing" applications. Call MEIO and HOUND THEM until you get an answer to your satisfaction.
I also understand your concerns for you and your spouse to sell everything and transplant yourselves to SXM...two and a half months is NOT enough time for you to sell your home. close escrow, etc. I have heard MEIO offer acceptances as late as the week prior to the start of the semester, though!
There once was a time when the only real problem AUC had to resolve in order to move in a positive direction was MEIO (everything in general), however, with the current dissent block exams are causing, the eviction of scores of students from the dorms, and the loss of our Houma site, it looks like AUC is rapidly regressing towards MEIOs level.
On a positive note, if you are accepted for Jan 05, you'll bypass the housing fiasco that the Sep 04 kids havev to deal with, and by then, hopefully the block scheduling will either be rescinded or at least tweaked to a level that is fair and actually benefits BOTH student and faculty.

and the loss of our Houma site
When did this happen? This is one of the things that attracted me to apply at AUC because I could return to my home state sooner. Are there any Louisiana options now for 3rd and 4th year students?

Strange thing happened I received an email today after posting this last night...... They had a question about time I took off to have my 2 kids. I answered the question and they should give my file it's final review in their 7-2 meeting and my advisor said she would contact me 7-6 so wish me luck!

Now, did you try phoning them to get them to contact you before? Or was it all through email.. because that's funny, all my correspondences was by phone. My admissions counselor phoned me, I phoned her to keep tabs, then she phoned me with my admission. But best of luck to you in your decision!

To all the current AUC students; is there a "list" or something that has exactly were what rotations are offered as of right at this moment? I mean; what hospitals can I do what cores rotations and what hospitals can I do what electives rotations?

Core rotations: yeah, there is a list but what's the point? By the time you start clinicals, the list will have changed
As for electives, you can do it wherever you want that is ACGME approved, you just need to apply there.
