I received a lot of response from prospectives entering May and September 2010 regarding wanting notes for the 1st term classes (all 5 Blocks).
If you would be interested please let me know. These notes contain all material I have compiled and personal notes from lectures, T.A. sessions, and group review sessions. Collectively it respresents all high yield material. A must know! :clapover:

hey guys
obviously none is going to respond to this.
On the bright side - who cares?!!
Just so that you know- each one of the textbooks on the list in our Student Handbook can be found online for free.
I'm sure we will have all the notes we need once we get there in the mean time it wouldn't hurt to pre-study with a textbook.

Seattle, can you please give me a copy. Thanks!
with all the respect to Seattle,
All the books/notes/etc are available for free on the student server. Once you get down here, you can download anything you want off the server.
Plus, it's none of my business if someone is selling their own notes to make money off of them, but as far as I am concerned, Saba students are known to be friendly, helpful and considerate individuals. In fact, the faculty is proud of us because we help and support each other for free. I personally wouldn't like 'selling notes' to become a habit among us... Again, with all the respects to Seattle.
Best,

i totally agree with sgmd! right on the "money", lol.
you can find free books if u just look. do a google search for the book and add in free to the search, or look at torrent sites or rapidshare sites. there are pdf's out there for a variety of books, u will be surprised how many.
a lot of these pdf books are older versions but how much has medicine really changed? so they are still good to use.
me? the most useful and high yield i buy bc i can't stand starting at a comp all day, but some that have mediocre reviews, i do pdf. i won't lie.
as for notes...u people need to enjoy life before the island. go on vaca, visit family..just chill. once u get to saba, u can get the notes for free and then make a hardcore study plan.
if there's one book i wish i would i have bought before stepping on to the island? first aid step 1. all peeps on here told me to get it and start writing my notes from day one and i never listened. boy did i make a mistake.
so google away, and then just enjoy ur last days of freedome! sheesh

for the USMLE First Aid Step 1 book, does it matter which year it is..like 2005 vs. 2008 - do u guys know if much has changed from the books and if it's really important to get the latest version? I know Amazon is selling a 2010 version now. would you suggest that we buy the First Aid Step 1 book before coming to the island or just to buy it off from upper semesters when we get there? thanks.
