I was planning to move to SXM on June 29 to take a long awaited vacation before classes start as well as to find a suitable apartment to rent. I just found out about the dorm ordeal and now it seems like there is not an apartment to be found anywhere on the island. HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!! Could someone explain to me what is going on? and why? I can't beleive the bad timing regarding this....I AM SO PISSED RIGHT NOW .... I will probably end up paying $1K per month for a peice of dung.
Anyone know of any apartments that will be avail for July 1 at the Tradewinds, Beach Club, or the Marina?

on last monday, the great majority of the students in the dorms received notice that they would have to move out of the dorms by the end of the semester to make room for the large incoming class. from what i have heard, everyone in the dorms, with the exception of some fourth semester students, have been given their notices. all these students are scrambling to find a place to move to. this will cause a few problems of course. there is a good size 5th semester class leaving at the end of the semester and maybe that will open up some apartments on the island.

in case you didn't know its school policy to do at least one thing to piss everyone off per semester i guess they are now doing away with the traditional one semester grace pertiod and extending the policy to include incoming smesters as well....

You are welcome to take over my lease. I'm currently in Cote D'Azur Marina, but planning to move to beacon hill in july. I signed for a one year lease when I moved in and 10 months left right now. I'm planning to move out as I might have someone join me in the later part of the year and I want to move into a different one. My place is right on the water and 5 min. walk from the school :D
