Here is a question: For clinicals do we have to go to different locations to complete them? Or can we just stay in one location and finish in a timely fashion?

If we can stay in one location, why do people do clinicals at multiple locations?

Wow, I thought this topic was already talked about a billion times... but I'll answer it anyways

Yes, you can do your clinicals(cores and sometimes electives) all in 1 hospital(Bakersfield, Ca. Southfield, Michigan. England, Ireland. Altman, Ohio(i think). Houma, Louisana).
The other sites we have are 3-4 hours away from each other (except for Cali sites) to complete your core clinicals.

I think you can.

As for the why part: because the spots at the all-in-one hospitals are limited. Only a handful of students are each site. That's why we have lots of hospitals that are affiliated with AUC.

Another reason is that some people like moving around and seeing different parts of the US and networking with the higher ups at different hospitals (comes in handy during residency time).

Actually I'm a MS 2 now so nevermind.
and yes, I was referring to a dobly digital system. Yeah I know they have 6.1 7.1 and whatever else now. But don't really have time to set something like that up(or money for that manner).

Cool. The 6.1 and 7.1 are a little overkill anyway... Every time you get up for a beer you're banging your head on a speaker.

When watching a horror movie could ACTUALLY give you a heart attack you know it's time to back off the whole "realism through sound" thing...
