Does anyone know if you can practice in hawaii graduating from AUC? All other states are approved?

Hawaii yes, and most other states as well(Texas and Colorado has some strict regulations that all FMGs have to overcome). Talk to Jon(anencephalic) for more info on Hawaii... he's probably at some awesome Japanese restaurant right now in San Fran eating good sushi.... :cry: I'm jealous JON!!!!

Hi, we are from Hawaii and know several AUC docs who are practicing in the Aloha state right now...

yes you can go to hawaii. as a matter of fact, i interviewed there and really liked the place but thought i would be lonely/homesick after 4 years of residency training. the residency programs there are good, competitive and you can get into great im fellowships coming from there.

sure can, akp! My mentor is an AUC grad and had no problems with licensure. He was real meticulous too! He kept all his paperwork, in case there were problems concerning AUC and or clinical training. You know what, He never had to use it! Didn't have any problem with Chicago nor Ca. licensures either. Dan

Two of the docs I used to practice with are at a major windward hospital in Kailua, Hawaii are AUC grads from the old Monserrat campus...they were pretty influential in me deciding to attend AUC.

No sushi, but I did try roasted rabbit for the first time...simply delicious!
