1) there will be a tuition increase of $500 for each semester. guess new gold additions are in the works and have been over budget. i will be on the lookout of fresh gold paint or new bronze castings and will announce any new groundbreakings here.

2) health insurance for students. we should get final word for 9/04 policy is expected to cover all four years of med school and include your time in clinicals. cost will be revealed in the next month. my guess is that it will depend on just how short the golden works company is on funds  or on the number of additions to the compund on yellow mountain.

3) block exams are here to sptay. as if it was any surprise to any of us (sarcasm warning) apparently according to the school only one class was negatively affected by the schedule and the other 300 people that admitted to me they failed or did poorly were all in on some sadistic joke, very funny guys next time let me in on it.

4) note service has divided the lines into notes and snacks to reduce wait time. great idea lines are shoirter we just need an overhang over the widow to keep from being fried by the caribbean sun.

5) we will once again be cahrged $150 wether you want to or not to get all your notes "pre-paid" that is sour news to those of us who have lap tops and get the notes for free. now this makes no sense to me. first semester i was here all was kosher, then they charged $100 per student and ended losing money so they uped it to $150 and are out of the red.... i've seen the budget and i don't know who is interpreting these things, but usually a positive number under each semester is a good sign specially the one before they went to universal fee...bad move from a business point....fire your accountant and let them go back to enron.....

and that is all from auc land in the near future. the preceding has been a humorous look at what is going on here. i think the school has improved much in the last 16 months, i don't know if its $1500 per student much but it is what it is and that is all that it can be

Hey Rich,

Something tells me Dr. **** likes gold. It's a surprise that he doesn't walk around with "bling-bling" around his neck!

Congrats on breaking the 1000 post mark!

Yeah-I saw him too. He had two hot blonde chicks under each arm and said he loves Americans. He showed all six of his Mercedes and said he can't wait for the tuition increase to kick in because the seventh is waiting at the factory.

I've been told the man has everything gold plated or painted in his house. I think next he will rename himself "The Sun King" like Louis the 16th (or was it 14th?) since that guy ALSO has an entire wing of his palace in gold from ceiling to floor. Wonder if **** happens to speak Frenchie?

Health insurance?! There's talk about health insurance? And now they have block exams?

Wow. AUC has changed so much over the past 4 years. (I just graduated.) Honestly, since I started they have made so many HUGE improvements: getting rid of the worst offending professors, building dorms, hiring more student advocate professors, NY approval for clinicals (beyond 12 wks), including a board review course in basic science, etc.

BUT, they could have done all that with the current tuition! (and thrown in the notes.... why doesn't note service just get a chunk of change per student from the tuition? oh....right, i forgot about the new gold ceiling **** needs in his family room...
