Waiting for an interview

Hi Everyone,

This is my first post but I have looking at this forum for 4 months now. I would just like to thank everyone on here for the great information it has given me. I also have a question....

I sent in my application to St. George in the middle of March. They had a problem getting my transcript and finally received it and sent me a letter on April 27th saying my application is under review for an interview. I have called a couple of times and they have told me that my application is still under review for an interview. They also said it takes around 2-5 weeks before applicants are granted interviews. I already have been accepted at AUC and Ross. I would go to St. George if accepted. I was wondering if anyone is in the similar situation with waiting for an interview. If I do get an interview, what are my chances of getting in since it seems like it is getting late for acceptance. My other concern is that I will have to make a decision fairly soon and do not know whether to wait for St. George or not.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!!

I am just going to recall a few points I had mentioned previously to another SGU applicant who was experiencing the same delay in hearing for an interview.

I also applied to SGU in mid March. I can understand that u r concerned but realizing that your file has under review for an interview since April 27, it was been about 5 weeks. Although it seems like a long time to wait for after an interview, from what I was told by the admissions counsellor it can take 2-6 weeks before you hear whether you will be called for an interview. Have you tried talking to Ms.***** Albertelli or Ms.Laura Hinrichs? They are extremely helpful. I have kept in very close tough with them since day one and honestly they have beeen sooooooo helpful. They have answered all my questions/concerns in gr8 detail and have constantly kept me informed about the status of my application. I would strongly suggest that you contact Ms.***** Albertelli and inquire about your status.

Once you do get an interview call, I was told that typically it takes 1-3 weeks to hear about the board's decision. In regards to my own timeline...

MAR 17: Application sent
MAR 18: Application received
MAR 19: Interview call
APR 8: Interview in Manhattan
APR 14: Acceptance call

Somehow, my application got processed pretty fast...but I know that many people have had to wait about 5-6weeks..especially if they applied after March, which was the time when I guess many applied after getting their rejections from U.S./Canadian universities.

Hi Gyptian411,

One more pointer...

Since you have already been accepted into ROSS and AUC, I would suggest that you pay one of those universities' deposit just to reserve a seat for yourself, especially if their payment deadline is approaching. I have a friend who was in the same situation as yourself..she was also waiting to hear from SGU, but she paid her AUC deposit right away just to be on the safe side.
