Any Ham operators on the island?

Any repeaters? Is it possible / easy to get a license?

I have not really seen any big antennas on houses here, I don't think it is a big thing here and I would be surprised if you even need a license of some sort. Just bring the equipment.........

A few of us thought about buying a FM transmitter and setting up a little "station"(an iPod and hooked up to the transmitter) but that never materialized(as usual).

The FM transmitter is about $250 or so for half decent one(by our crappy standards) and the antenna is about 100 dollars or so. We figured we can blast it all the way to airport(all 2-3 miles away...lol). Anybody else wanna get in on this? We could have the spouse's club volunteers be the DJs... :wink:
