I was just wondering what books should I DEFINITELY HAVE, i.e. more likely going to use for the 2nd Semester? Also, for ICM is it better to by new or used equipment?

Lippincott's Biochemistry is probably the one "must-have" book for 2nd semester. You may also want "Physiology" by Linda S. Costanzo (she is both author of BRS Physiology and a larger Physiology text book of sorts... either one is good, although I have the text book). I think both these books do a great job of summarizing, explaining and synthesizing Physiology and Biochemistry in a way that's quite understandable.
As for equipment, I would recommend getting a stethescope for sure. Everything else, used is probably more than adequate.
