I had to do this for my friend. BetterThinkTwice wanted the thread deleted, which you would not do. Roskshana was allowed to hurl her final insults at BTT. I've read your posts too Ubuntu and mspropst. You were flaming her. I guess there is no justice for certain people, huh?

mspropst- you won't be seeing BTT again. She had only come back to tell Rokshana that she wasn't being professional. That's all.

I was truly interested in the topic, but doubtful of her motives as I stated in the other forum. Islandthrift, the moderator said we had not violated the TOS. I may have been persistent in trying to get a straight answer out of her, and remaining suspicious of her motives for posting, but that is a matter of personal opinion and not flaming.

The definition according to wikipedia (edit: despite its legitimacy as a valid source, I hope we all know what the general definition of flaming is) on this one for flaming is: "Flaming is hostile (http://www.valuemd.com/wiki/Hostile) and insulting (http://www.valuemd.com/wiki/Insulting) interaction (http://www.valuemd.com/wiki/Interaction) between Internet (http://www.valuemd.com/wiki/Internet) users. Flaming usually occurs in the social context of a discussion board (http://www.valuemd.com/wiki/Discussion_board), Internet Relay Chat (http://www.valuemd.com/wiki/Internet_Relay_Chat) (IRC), by e-mail (http://www.valuemd.com/wiki/E-mail) or on Video-sharing websites (http://www.valuemd.com/wiki/Video_hosting_service). It is usually the result of the discussion of heated real-world issues like politics, religion, and philosophy, or of issues that polarise subpopulations (for example, the perennial debating between Xbox 360 (http://www.valuemd.com/wiki/Xbox_360) and PlayStation 3 (http://www.valuemd.com/wiki/PlayStation_3) owners). Internet trolls (http://www.valuemd.com/wiki/Troll_(Internet)) frequently set out to incite flamewars for the sole purpose of offending or irritating other posters."

My sole purpose was not offending or irritating her. At first I really wanted to know, then I was just confused, then everyone just went completely off topic. On another note though, I'm pretty sure your posts are the definition of flaming: "for the sole purpose of offending or irritating other posters."

I DO apologize if I have offended you. It was not my intention, and I was just pointing out the obvious. I find it very interesting that not one person stood up for her. Is this what was happening to her on the island too? I wonder. It looks to me like she started the thread and was then trying to make it go away. She kept coming back to answer other posts and defend herself. There are others that are aware of her problems and locking down threads to get her to stop is not going to work, athough I highly doubt she wants any part in this forum anyway. Roskshana should not have accused her like she did, but I think her sole purpose was to discredit BTT anyways. I cannot blame her for coming back to simply defend herself. Her posts didn't seem to be inflammatory. If they were, there should have been a civil discussion. She was accused and then her posts were erased by the moderator so that we could not see her answers. I read what she posted today and it was very unfair that she was banned. It is quite disappointing to see this type of censoring going on. This is disturbing.

Sometimes it appears that way. It is interesting the way some can have their pleas to have a thread locked honored while others request the same (in some cases concerning the same thread) to no avail.:roll:
