Hello Everyone,

I am a transfer student who applied to the 4th year in english medium at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Gr.T.Popa Iasi.
I recieved my acceptance letter in mid september. and in the letter it was mentioned the enrollment is possible at the university till the 15th of October. Unfortunately I couldn't get my visa before the given date due to a complicated situation( the romanian embassy in my country was closed temporary, so had to apply to an embassy in another country)
I recieved my visa last week.. I informed the university officially about this matter but haven't recieved any response yet.
But now i have this problem wether they will allow me to enroll at the university since my acceptance letter is expired.

During arrival at Romania will the immigration check my documents at the airport itself? if so will i be sent back due to my expired acceptance letter?

Please let me know any valuable information regarding this matter..i will appreciate it alot:hail::please:

If you need a visa to enter Romania, then they will check your visa at customs. However since the embassy issued the Visa, I don't think customs will refuse you entry- I don't know the exact procedures but I dont think they will ask for the acceptance letter.. anyway if they do, you still have the Visa that was issued AFTER the expiration, right? so if they refuse you then ask to call the embassy/consulate of your own country, tell them your situation and see if they can intervene with the Romanian embassy.

anyway I would plead/beg the university to work with you or at least defer admission until next year. maybe going in person will help smooth things over so I would say try it. Even if you get refused, you're no worse off, except for the money but more important is the university imo.

Hi there .
It's very possible that border control will send u back.
when i came to romania they asked me to show my financial support documents and even asked me to use the border ATM machine to show cash dollars to them!!!

Do you have to bribe officials inregard to immigration paperwork so that it go through with less complications?

Nobody speaks Russian there, I think you have Romania confused with Moldova, and no, Russian language is not enough in Moldova either you have to know Romanian also

Actually, in Moldova, at least in the capital, you can get along just fine with Russian. But not in Romania, people don't really speak Russian here. Maybe only a few old folks who studied Russian in the days of the Communist Era. So you definitely need some Romanian.
