Hi,
I recently received an International Peace Scholarship, and am wondering about the details...
1) Does one have to maintain a certain GPA to keep the scholarship?
2) What date, for this academic year, is this money disbursed?
Any other details about this scholarship would also be appreciated...
Thanks so much!

I think you need to call the school about this and not rely on internet answers. good luck.

Thanks for letting me know, Steph! Actually, I have called SGU and am still waiting for a reply. So I thought I'd post and find out if anyone else knew anything until I get official word from the school...

Congrats Coco!
I talked with Bayshore on Friday, and they will deduct the scholarship amount from your bill. You don't get any money in your hands from the scholarship. And also, let's say you get $10000 for 1st year, its split into $5000 for first term, and $5000 for second term.
Hope that helps! I am so grateful for that Peace scholarship, its such a BIG help! :D

Thanks IndianBabu, for that info...
Are you aware of any minumum GPA requirement in order to keep the scholarship?
I'll call SGU again on Monday to find out more about this, but any info to get me through the weekend (so I don't worry) would be appreciated...
Thanks so much!

Hey coco!:)
Don't worry girl. I did ask the admissions counsellor about the GPA requirements for myself about a month and a half back. As far as I know there is no minimum GPA requirement in order to keep the scholarship. Ofcourse we all have to maintain our GPA high enough so that we don't flunk out or are asked to decel
I am sure when you hear a reply from Ms.***** Albertelli tomorrow, she will advise the same:)
Talk to ya laterz :D

Thanks Kanchi, for your reply. :D
I spoke to someone from the school, and there is no GPA requirement. :-smiley7
Also, the money gets dispursed per term, 10 days prior to the start of each term.
I thought I'd post what I learned for anyone else who may have received this scholarship and is wondering the same...
