I am a student over at AUC. We have a day off next week, and I think I'm going to make a day trip over to see Saba. We only have one day though, so I'll have to be mobile. Are there ATV or horse rentals available on Saba? (Yes, I can ride an ATV rough terrain, and I can ride a horse places most people would be afraid to walk). I would like to get to the top of the island and relax for a few hours, but with limited time, I'm not sure how practical hiking to the top would be. If that isn't possible, could one at least see most of the island sights by ATV in a day?

haven't really seen any horses on saba... and in terms of ATV, I don't think there's any for rent on saba. However, I could be wrong. In terms of hiking, you can hire a taxi to take you to the trails or around the island or just hitchhike. Saba isn't really a big island. There are, however, multiple trails for hiking. Most of the trails you can probably do in a couple of hours, depending on how fast you walk. hope this helps.

 Horse and ATV rentals? Have you done your research on this place? There's one donkey on the island, and I don't think it's for rent. Maybe you can ride one of the many goats here.
Seriously though, this island is WAY too small for those kinds of businesses to be profitable. You could rent a car, but those tend to be expensive compared to SXM.....I think it's $50 a day. Cab fares aren't too expensive here and you could always hitch (hitching is completely accepted and normal here).
