Hi, I have about 120 'quarter' credits(not semester credits) with all the pre-med requirement which I completed at the local community college. Will I be able to apply for admission into Ross and expect a positive outcome?

I guess my concerns are:

1. 90 credits that they set as minimum is the 'semester' credits, correct? I do not know what that translate to, since I come from a state where academic years are divided into something that resembles the tri-mester system... Will my 120 'quarter' credits be enough?

2. I completed all of my pre-med classes at my local community college, though I will not be able to obtain a ** degree since it's not a 4 year university. WIll my lack of ** degree play a critical role in admission's decision making? I have a GPA of 3.8 and will be taking MCAT this August.

I would appreciate any input.
Thank you in advance.

I would appreciate

Its not common that students without a 4-year degree are accepted to Ross these days. I have heard of the occasional student who for some reason has 250 semester units completed, but just never managed to puzzle those together into a degree. Also, the fact that you have taken all your classes at a community college would be a red flag to the admissions comm. Ross gives students a chance, but they only accept those who they believe will be able to get through the program. Possibly if you do very well on your MCAT, you would have a better chance. But honestly, you should complete your degree at a 4-year University and then apply. Of course, its up to you. If you want to give it a try you are more than welcome to do so.

I have been accepted to the September class. I would have finished my ** degree this fall if I were to stay here and finish. I had a 4.0 science GPA with a 3.9 overall GPA, yet my MCAT was only an 18. So it can be done without getting your 4 year degree (since you have a 3.8). Take the MCAT and see what happens, and most of all Good Luck!

I am currently a fisrt sem student and i can assure you that there is at least 15 students that i know that did not come here with a B.S. I know this for a fact, this one girl, finished all her requirements as a sophmore or or first semester junior and is here in the May class. Go and do a good job in the MCAT and then apply, you wont lose anything. I had a 3.8gpa, interviewed and got accepted within a week! Best of lucj

Don't be in such a hurry. Transfer to a university, get a ** and apply stateside first.
