when you applied, did you have to take the HSK exam? and do they allow self applicants without representatives?

Hi! Sxamei,

Generally, foreigners need to take HSK exams when they want to study in China universities.

By the way ,which country are you from?

hey supergon, thanks for the reply!
I'm actually from the US. I actually speak Chinese at home and had Chinese instructed courses up until elementary school... didn't realize that I'd still have to take the HSK exams... hehe

Hi! Sxamei,
You need to take at least HSK intermediate level to study Chinese medium medicine in China universities. However, if you want to study English medium one, you may not need to pass HSK.But you may still need to learn Chinese in China university.

It seems that there is an increasing number of US students intending to study medicine in China universities. Are China medical graduates so popular in the US? Or only certain medical graduates of China's top medical schools are popular in the US?

well, i'm not so sure that Chinese medical schools are popular in the US(haven't really seen any research on it), but personally, because of the population size and the number of doctors coming to the US along with different factors, i'd like to move to China to kind of get re-acquainted with my roots, etc. Also, it just offers a different kind of possibility that I'd like to explore~! =)
