hi,

im planning on doing some electives in canada.... is there a way like in the US to actually be offered a prematch or someone that will take you into their program ? e.g if you make a good impression etc

There are no such things as pre-matches in Canada. All would-be residents participate in the CaRMS match.

Also, note that you MUST be a Canadian citizen/PR to apply for residency.
