Ugh. I swore I had read Dec. 15.
So, for us to use Davenport money to cover our SMU expenses, we can't use DU's spring money, since SMU wants it paid by Dec 15... 15 days before we start. Has SMU made any special accommodations for students who are using DU to pay tuiton?
This is such a nightmare, not like you didn't warn us. I tried to go in Sept- bailed at the last minute because I was new to Davenport and b/c of the loan situation. Can't get a FT job here, since I'm only home for 4 months and no one wants an employee for only 4 months. Ugh.
It looks like I'll be getting around $10K from Davenport, maxing out everything, taking 2 classes. A little more if I withdraw from the 2nd class. Tuition/Fees for basic sciences vet med is just under $10K (with our $300 visa).
How are you guys living on only $5 extra? You can't buy a car for that, you can't rent an apartment close to school for that and have water and power..... Or, how much are you really borrowing from friends and family?
