Hey AUA students!!

I have been reading a lot of threads and was wondering about the over all professors at AUA.

So, heres my question!!
1. How is the quality of prof`s there at AUA?

2.Students that took the STEP1, did you feel that AUA prof`s did teach you well ? or well?

3. are the prof`s understandable? (language and explanation was......)

That all I can think of now. If you have any info regarding the prof`s at AUA, I would very much appreciate it!!! I want all the info I can get!

Thanks!!

1) The professors know their material well.

2) Generally students think they need to study more than what professors have taught them to do really well on the STEP, it depends on each individual.

3) You can understand everything they say. 95% of the professors are south indian, they are from Manipal, the main associated medical school with AUA.

Overall, they will get hte job done, but with medical school, you need to work independantly. Its all about what you do yourself.

Skip all your classes, but study 8 hours a day, you will probably make it.
Go to all your class, never study, probably not make it.

Does the school, or individual classes have an attendance policy?

I think technically the school's policy is you must attend 80% of lectures. But for individual labs, etc, usually 100% is needed for a "full grade".
