Another Site???

I heard that we are losing Wyckoff in Feb. anyone can confirm that. If we are how come no one made mention of it (just like when we lost Bronx- Lebanon.

If it is true then remember, this is St. Matthews afterall. Every small improvement gets blown up as if they are the supreme school and any bad news is under the SMU "HUSH HUSH" and who cares about any problems as long as SMU generates income policy.

but until then its just a rumor... and lots of those go around...

as long as everyone has rotations... it doesnt matter which sites we drop or add.

I don't know why they would lose wyckoff. Wyckoff is a money making machine that takes in truck loads of studens for rotations, sometimes at the expense of education.The more students they can accept the better.So some school would have to really be paying top dollar to ship a large majority of their students there in order to kick another school out.Its always possible but wyckoff is one of those site where its less likely.

When I was doing my FP rotation back in June Dr. N went to some Ross conference and came back telling us that Ross is thinking about trying to set up their 5th semester program at Wyckoff. Who knows what the hell is going on. Any official word from SMU admin?

AUA has started their fifth sem program at wyckoff last month. dont know how that would affect clinical rotations.

Seriously? you really expect an official word from SMU? they are probably finding out for the first time now after reading on VMD. They dont have the man power nor the motivation to find things out for themselves.

Sometimes you really wonder why you pay more in clinicals when you have no faculty and no service from school.

SMU has recently been losing sites, I have not really heard anything good about waycoff site but it's still a "SITE" and takes a large # of students. SMU better have something lined up for losing sites back to back.

i second that. But come to think of it, when was the last time we really got any news about even a small improved??? Everything seems down hill at this time but who knows... SMU has a lot to make up for at this time.

BTW, what happened to those news letters and regular emails that Mc C was suppose to send us... on second thought, i'm sort of glad there isnt any email in my mail box from school because chances are that if there is an email from school, it would probably contain some bad news....
