Hello,

I have a question for those graduates of Philippine medical schools who took the USMLE and passed. When did you start prepping for the MLE and how long did you prep? And what's your advice in taking the boards? Thanx!

6 months for Step 1
3-4 months for Step 2
2 weeks for CS

Started studying after I graduated med school

Not a 99 like the other forum geeks!
High 80's was good enough to get me interviews at great univ. programs :)

what subspecialty did you go for? How did you boost your application besides your solid step 1 score? Did you have US based letters of recommendation?

Locut- yes all my letters are from the US because I did most of my rotations here
I did volunteer work during my free time during rotations (you'll find some free time somehow).
