Pet on the island and vets???

Is it hard having a pet on the island??

Also are there vets there???

hi, like I said in your other post, the vet by the animal shelter is good and very reasonable.

getting your pet on the island depends on how big he/she is. it would be no problem bringing a small lap dog or cat because u can transport them in the cabin. but if you bring a big dog, like I did, it can be very difficult. I don't recommend bringing a big dog unless you have no other choice. either way, you will need to see your vet and have a thick stack of travel paperwork (health certification) completed and signed. also, you must have your pet vaccinated for rabies more than 30 days, but less than 6 months before your date of travel.

Are you allowed to have a pet in your home on Bonaire? Generally people don't accept pets, at least not INSIDE the house.

is a hassle finding a place that takes your pet...looks like they are not pet frindly island...
