DSL!

I was wondering if anyone had the contact phone number of who provides DSL. My fiancee and I are moving down to the rock in early August and he relies on an internet connection for his job. We were hoping to contact them and have a connection as quick as possible.

Do the apartments with generators come with DSL??

DSL and generators have nothing to do with eachother. VERY FEW apartments come with DSL already installed and running and VERY FEW apartments have generators. Those apartments are necessarily the same ones.

You can look at www.cwdom.dm for the website of the local ISP - they also list phone numbers there.

If you happen to find an apartment with a generator make sure that it actually works, whether your air conditioning will be woking when the electricity goes out and if the generator is located outside your bedroom window it could get mighty noisy.

The number to Cable and Wireless is 767-255-3133 At silver lining apartments the phone lines are installed already but they will still take forever to hook up the internet. I know of 1 person that got an apartment before they came down and talked with the Roseau branch of C&W and had DSL when they arrived on the island.

As far as the generators go, I have heard 3 apartments have generators. Ours is in the process of getting one now. They are building the house for it as we speak.

you can't request a phone line or dsl unless you actually have a local address.

i only know of 1 apartment that comes with dsl. <10 apartments with generators.
