Dr. Chu, the new president of SUSOM, told students on Saba last week that the most recent tuition increase was because faculty demand regular raises?
As one who is 'Experienced', I guarantee you that Saba faculty are amongst the lowest paid at Caribbean medical schools and are not getting squat from the new owners in terms of pay raises or increased health or retirement benefits.
A thousand increase here, a thousand soon after. Notice a trend? But those tuition increases aren't going to faculty pay raises.
