I applied to a med school in Romania through the client MSA. In the UK if you want to apply for med you need A-level bio and chem and one other science related subject. The MSA told me that you also need physics in order to apply to med school in Romania so i couldn't apply this year. :(
However i have decided to take a year out and do A-level physics and then re-apply next year.
Aparently you must be 18 when you apply but i will be 19 next year. Is 18 the minimum age?
Am i taking a big risk?? I have a place in uni here which i will have to reject.
Are requirements likely to change next year?
Any Advice?

What are you studying at the university this year?
Is it possible to take A-level Physics and be enrolled at the university at the same time?
Why Romania?

Biomedical science
Yes that is possible because i will be doing physics privately anyway and i only need a pass.
I want to go Romania because i couldn't get into medicine here.

get rid of MSA they tell you crap and take you money . As you see they justify by telling lies that they were not able to find you a seat : You just need highschool degree to study medicine in Ro
Agents are a handidap to get a seat in Romania

What about having A-level physics? Is that a lie too?
I don't know how to apply on my own that's why i choose them.
I can't apply now though because i am too late. Do i stand a chance next year?
You go to Oradea, right? What is the requirement?

If you can do both at the same time, I don't see why you should give up one opportunity to try for another. If both are still open, do both. If your university will allow you to take a lighter academic load, this might help you with time-management to handle both.
BTW - I have always been suspiscious of agents for medical schools. But if the med school is able to independently verify that the agent is authorized to represent the school, there should be no problem using the agency.

Yes, Oradea did verify.
I am aiming for Oradea for next year and on thier website it says "All applicants must be 18 years by October, the beginning of the academic year".
What does that mean? I will be 19 next year.
The client MSA did not specify that you need A-levels physics on thier website. It just said you need high school certificate.
What is a high school diploma/certificate?

10+2 or A-levels are usually given as the equivalent to "high school".
BTW - if the agency is listing "high school" as the requirement for admission they are targeting students from the US and Canada. Might be worth your while to find another agency with experience working with UK students.

No they did write A-levels but they didn't specify which ones, bio, chem, math, physics, what??
I did bio, chem and sociology but MSA told me that i need Physics so i don't qualify.
I spent all this time uploading documents on to there website and they tell me at the end that i don't qualify because i don't have A-levels physics. They should have specified 'A-LEVELS PHYSICS" on there website. It's not enough to just write a-levels. I mean people can have A-levels in musics, drama, etc. It doesn't mean they qualify to study med.
In UK you need chem for medicine, that's all.

I think it might depend on the university. I believe some ask for your transcripts (and some of these will want to see chem + bio + physics), and some only ask for the diploma. but I'm not 100% on this.
have you tried emailing the university or calling them?

Lil08 just enter the uoradea .ro /english/ and follow the instructions on Admission section there. Its easy as piece of cake, all u need is some patience. And dont trust those agents by the way. They just waste ur time and do nothing... Tried to contact them by myself and MSA simultaneously, still no respond from MSA...
1 month after i sent the files, they responded with the acceptance letter. I sent the files in the beginning of August btw. I guess u will need to sit an entrance exam also, thats all, i hope that would be helpful.

It means you have to be atleast 18 years of age. You're fine.

In many countries, high school physics, chem and bio are required for entry into medical school.

I appreciate your help, Thank you.
One more question. It says on Oradea and MSA website that you only need a high school certificate. Over here complete A-levels consist of 2 years but if you do 1 year you still get a certificate. Since A-levels physics is pretty difficult, i was wondering will i still get in if i do just one year and still have a certificate.

As far as I know, the only uniform requirement is that you must certify that your diploma allows you study in a bachellors degree (not necessarily medical school) program in your country.

Really..? You sure, because MSA said i need physics. In Uk if you want to do medicine you need biology and chemistry A-levels.
My qualifications do allow me to study bachellors degree in Uk and so i don't need to do physics. :x

I think it depends, but MSA could be correct. I have seen information from universities that mentions chem/bio/physics, but most websites don't make any mention of this at all. that's not to say it isn't a requirement, but most schools dont seem to publish it. I'd contact the universities to find out, or talk to the ministry of education directly.

it is NOT a requirement in the univ you aimed. They just require a degree allowing to study in univ in your country
MSA just made you lose 1 year because of its incompetence
