So it's been a while since the last update on the NY approval status of IAU. At last we were told by an IAU administrator that IAU was waiting on the NY board to come and visit the school and offices to approve the 'changes' and/or 'upgrades' etc that the board found necessary to be changed/implemented in order for a re-visit. What's the current status since, it's been over 2 years, i believe, since the first NY board visit and other caribbean schools have been either visited or revisited by the NY board since that time????

And for any IAU official or administrator, rather than post a phone number for those interested in such information, due to the confusion that may arise from such information, why not post it up on valuemd, right here, in the same diatribe as that of what you would entertain by phone? Is there something to hide, by not posting a written response and shielding yourselves and answers behind the shadows of the telephone? As you must consider that over 33% of the decisions of whether to attend or not attend a Caribbean institution falls on the information found on valuemd.....

you must be extremely inept, as the only "progress", though the better word ought to be "reversion" or "stand-still" that IAU has achieved is their office in Dallas and perhaps the teachers on the island, however, many of them are questionable in there qualifications and/or links to the higher-ups within the college management (i.e. family of the owners) as well as their behavior.

You might want to rethink your motivation in your one-line phrases of praise, as you have nothing to back your response besides the common notion of "call us and we'll tell you about it, rather than posting bogus information on valuemd", nor has anyone at the school replied to this posting, as well as anyone with qualified information negating any of the above questions/concerns/truths.

Do yourself and those reading this posting a favor and place your fervor in your studies or twiddling your thumbs and allow those with qualified resources and qualifications to provide the proper, albeit truthful and provable documentation to the aforementioned claims concerning-most importantly-NY accreditation and the status on the new buildings/facilities in St. Lucia, that were supposed to be built by now, as what the information I received a few years back by the school.

...and the IAU administration continues its silence...

Awesome posts to you and Deepk. Due to your enlightening wealth of information, your attitude seems to be on par with that of the IAU administration, offering no information to original questions; rather, you continue to say something is the best when it is the only thing you know of/tried, as that of children. Come on. Saying something is the Best or the Greatest only means something when information is presented to show for it. Im sure you're at IAU for the same reasons. You probably have no idea what 'justification' or 'examples' are-that normally accompany rhetoric involving providing descriptive means to back one's responses. Saying something only go so far without having information to account for it. Your two-man cheerleading squad only shows the lack of talent your team (school) has/provides, as the information that I have asked ought to be at the forefront of your minds, as you, too, will never see NY approval only talk of it, as many, if not all your peers have been subjected to, only to have them never fulfilled.

P.S. this isn't a 'dumb**' trying to bash the school. This is a IAU student, like you, trying to see if anything that was promised in the past has come through. Ask those in the semesters previous to yours to see if my questions aren't justified or carry no merit...

Lastly, since you have nothing more to really show for yourselves, enjoy all that you have and hope that whatever picture that IAU has painted in your mind comes true, as an imagination travels with you at all times, but it's reality that you will encounter for a lifetime.

It has been my experience here @ IAU, that some of the students who were unable to handle the rigorous and demanding challenges of medical education here, leave disgruntled and embittered and wages war on IAU in the process. This is quite sad and unfair to the dedicated professors and the diligent students who do such a great job here everyday.

My advice to anyone school shopping? Speak to real students, not drop outs. Dont believe everything you read. Do your research and compare your needs with what the/a school offers. I have been here @ IAU for three semester and I am doing great. Looking foward to Chicago in May!
