I have recently been accepted to AUA for January 2010. I'm trying to figure out where would be the best place to live so if anyone has input about student housing please let me know.

Wanna:

Live far from everyone, but on the ocean - Trafalgar
Nice apartment similar to home=AMOR or MANDALAY
Crowded Dorm like residence-Utopia

Anything other than those 3 are not too popular.

Thanks for you post. After further research I think Mandalay is the best bet. Would you recommend the school transportation or renting a car?

School Transportation consists of a bus which will pick you up at 7:00 am or 11am everyday and drop you off at 1:00 pm, 5:00 pm or 8:00 pm everyday.

Cost: $300.00 per semester


Car is very convenient but expensive. About $500.00 USD per month plus lisence plus gas(about 50 EC per week (20 US)).

You can use taxis too. Just ask around to get the numbers for some reliable drivers. You can pay per ride or negotiate a weekly rate with some drivers. I didn't have a car when I was on the island. I used a combination of school transportation, campus shuttles, taxis, and bumming rides from friends.

easily traf is the best for living - you have your own ocean. Nothing beats that. Same thing at Beachcomber but there's no kitchen in your house so definitely not such a good thing.
