since I can't post in the clinical forum....

I was wondering how many fellow clinic students are going for all GREEN electives? I know only a few states require all green electives and cores (Texas and Delaware come to mind), so I was wondering how much this factored into your elective decision?

I ask because I recently looked up two electives I am to complete in Michigan (gi and nephro) on the acgme and frieda website and I see the are not listed. thus, I am assuming they do not have fellows in those particular programs and now wonder if I should cancel the rotations and look for green electives.

I know I always preach green green green, but at this rate will be easy for me to find electives to replace those?

just a heads up: there is an saba elective list on sabamed.org
it's a good place to see where other students have completed electives, but make sure YOU check to see whether the electives are GREEN! many students do no complete green electives and the list doesn't differentiate between green and other. check both frieda and acgme to make sure the electives are green. it's easy to check frieda...go to the website and look under institution search.

I've decided to look for replacement electives that are green...I know that many states aren't strict but by the time I want a license I never know what the rules might be.
