I m a pre-med and plan on going to ROSS after I get 90 credits. Right now, my GPA is a 3.4 with 34 credits, and I honestly think that I don't know how to study properly. I attend a Community College specialized in health care, Henry Ford CC. I want to know that will a B in intro to chem kill my chances(nevr took chem before that). I also wanna know how to study properly. I have taken Intro to Bio, Biology - Genetics/Organisms, Principles of Chem, and that's it for the science. I took Physics 1, but dropped it, because I was not ready for it due to my math level. In 2 weeks, I will be taking Gen. Chem I, Cells & Mollecular Bio, Comp II, and Intermediate Alg.

I want to know how do all of you guys study and succeed. I know it's possible, but I don't know how to study. I worked sooooo hard for Principles of Chem, but ended up with a B :( . I quit work today just to focus on studying. I have a dream to follow, but don't know how to reach it. Can someone plz tell me how to study properly????? I'm desperate to get my GPA up to a 3.7.

Study methods are different for everybody. I'm a visual and aural learner....so I have to see and hear the material being presented. For classes like chem, physics and math...I found the best way for me to learn was to do as many practice problems as I could. By doing that, you start to see the different ways in which material can be tested so you aren't as stumped on exam day.

You should take the MCAT and apply to U.S. med school.

I know that I should be (planning on) going to a USA medical school, but I have a load of problems with my life right now. And I want to leave everything and just focus on my career. That is why I want to completely leave this country, and everyone I know, and just want to focus on my career and dream. If I do get accepted to a USA medical school, there is no way that I will be able to make it thru, because of all of my personal and family problems.

There can be more than one reason why a person goes abroad to study medicine. Not just because of low GPA. A person can have other problems as well.
