Does anyone know if there are any fondue restaurants on SXM?

My two year anniversary with my girlfriend is coming up-- our first date was at a fondue restaurant, and we ate there last year for our one year anniversary, but flying back to the States just for a cheese dinner didn't exactly seem practical for this year. She's coming down here instead, and it'd be pretty cool if there were some way I could surprise her with fondue for dinner. I mean, Sugar Cane's nice and all, but it just wouldn't have the same sentimental value...

And in case the cheese thing doesn't work out, does anyone have any other suggestions of nice restaurants for couples (on the French side, perhaps?)? Maybe she'd like that Gyro Truck in Marigot...

Thanks :D

Hi--

There is a place on the French Side in Sandy Ground called the Cheese House. They have fondue!! Have a great dinner.

There's one on the French side, in Sandy Ground or something like that... coupla friends went there a few months ago. I'll try to figure out where it is.

I apparently don't type fast enough... but I DO research fast! lol

It is called the Cheese House (as mentioned above), it is in Sandy Ground (as mentioned above), it is on the right, with a small sign, and it is directly across from the Thai Garden. :)

<eidt> More info.... there are at least 2 car lots going into Marigot from Sandy Ground... one on the left is just kinda an empty lot someone puts cars in for sale, then on the right there is a real, actual car lot (paved and everything!) on the right. Apparently the place is just past the real lot on the right.

I'll look for it tonight, I'm headed to Claude's for dinner in about 20 minutes. :)

Excellent!

Thanks to all who replied. I'll try to drive over there and find it sometime before she comes down.

It's before you get to Thai Garden (which is on your left) and immediately past Vlaun & Son car lot (which is on your right). It is just a small sign that says "Le Chateau" or something. That's it.
