Can someone please tell me what the maximum amount of money one can borrow from Stafford and private sources? Thanks in advance.

Correct me if I am wrong, but from the stafford loans you can borrow a little over 18k, and for the private alternative loans you can borrow up to what Ross certifies you for: again usually a little over 18k a year. Two semesters = a year here. So you can borrow up to 36k total. Hope this helps.

you're eligible for $5,000 unsubsidized stafford and $4250 subsidized stafford per semester as a med student. as a ross student, the school allows you a little over $8,000 alternative loan per semester ($8,400, i think). note that the maximum allowable amount for stafford depends on what kind of program you're in (undergrad vs grad), but the alternative loan depends on the school's estimated cost of attendance for their students.
