1. My husband might be going with me to Guadalajara, he can legally work in Mexico without a problem, but does anyone know of any American companies he could work for over there (he was a Bachelor in Bussiness Administration) (very bilingual)....or even any other companies??

2. He is also interested in doing his Master's of Science in Administration offered there at UAG in cooperation with University of Michigan.....has anyone heard anything about this program or know anything about it???

The Master's with the connection to Michigan sounds like a great idea. You mentioned your husband is Mexican, but perhaps has forgotten how low the salaries are in Mexico. Employment here won't be worth your time if you've worked in the States and are returning to the states, unless you work for one of the Cartels. But, then you'd have to be anonymous make it back alive.

I"m sure there's something online for the program - they're marketing the beejeebies out of it.

As for working down here, the only really sweet deal I've heard of is working for the embassy - but I'm not sure how you'd go about that.

I hate to be the devil's advocate but legally if you are a student with an FM3 visa and getting loans that indicate a family disbursement of federal financial Aid, your husband cant legally work in Mexico even if he is directly related to Moctezuma and Huichilopostly himself. There is a big difference between single and married status when it comes to financial aid. There at least a 10K dollar difference per semester between the two. Dont run the risk of losing your financial aid, getting deported and withdrawn from school from such legal matters. It is not worth the problems as some stated before since you hubby will be earning about 500 dollars monthly if he actually gets a decent job here. Good luck

from my semester, lot of spouses are working. i thought spouses came under different visa and not the FM3, which gave them permission to work here? i mean some of the spouses work at the schools [not ours, of course]. but i dont know.

I met a couple that used to live in the apartment where you and I lived. she used to work for the US embassy BUT they were not legally married and he always got a single status disbursement.

lets understand something. if you claim married status in your financial aid, you fall under the umbrella of the FM3. Many couples do it; just dont get caught.:D
