when I look at the acgme website I see southern regional in ATL under morehouse university for greenbook OBGYN status, but when I look at Frieda online I can't find southern regional as a participating institution under any OBGYN program. since it's under acgme site is that okay or do I need to find it on frieda online as well??

or am I just missing it on Frieda?

You might want to look into the particulars of this program affiliation. They have one resident from Morehouse. This does not fit the California criteria and therefore will not count as a core rotation.

mmmm. thanks for that info gumby. I do know some of my CA friends were assigned this rotation and once they talked to Pat they found out that CA won't accept the rotation. Thus, they were asked to be placed into another OBGYN spot.

how can you tell there is only one resident from morehouse that goes to this particular hospital? I perhaps am not looking at the acgme site close enough to discern this information.

why doesn't the affiliation show up on Frieda online but it does on acgme? what is the difference between the two websites?

To be honest, I really don't know the answer to that question. You would think they are on the same sheet of music. But I have learned to always check both and if they don't match up on a program, to investigate further.

I guess the lesson I learned here:

1. always check BOTH websites
2. If you want CA then always check with Pat regarding all your rotations to make sure they will count!

Well said. Pat knows all, sees all, and will reject all if they don't have approved rotations.

thanks awelchnp! when I had checked southern regional wasn't listed. looks like the site was updated as of 7/27 because when I checked only vascular surgery was listed under affiliated programs and now OBGYN is listed, too.

so for all saba students, southern regional is listed as greenbook OBGYN under Morehouse Uni on the acgme AND the frieda website.
