Congrats Boise -
I'm still trying to get them all the paperwork they want... before I can get an interview... It would therotically make sense that they would tell you all things you needed to turn it at one time, but I guess I'm wrong. ;) I'll just be happy when I've given them everything they want.

How long after your interview does it take for your status to change from committee review to im assuming decision made or accepted or whatever it is supposed to say next?

After your interview it has to get sent to the Admissions Committee (ADCOM) in Dominica which meets on Weds, so a week or two is what I've heard.

Like I posted on the "what are my chances?" thread...
"No chance at straight admission. Maybe a MERP, but a slight chance at that. Take an MCAT course and apply with the new and hopefully better score. If its not better, all I can say is that not everyone is cut out to be a doctor. Maybe not even me, we'll see."
PLEASE don't post on multiple topics with the same post. I know you want an answer, but if the topic is at the top of the thread, you will most likely get a response pretty quick. Otherwise its just annoying.

Goin' into my senior year at Texas A&M for a degree in Genetics. I have a 3.2 GPA and got a disappointing 24 on the MCAT. Got an interview early in the summer and two weeks later got the Acceptance letter in the mail for May 2010. So all of you who are hesitant about applying because of low scores.... APPLY! You never know

Interviewing one week from today for May 2010 entering! Hopefully all goes well and I can start making some real plans to head to the island. Interview is a 4 hour drive away and it starts at 10am so I'm debating whether I want to get up super early and make the drive or just get a hotel and drive down the evening before. I'll post back here when I get a verdict!

They are most definitely still accepting people. People for the JANUARY semester were still being accepted like a few weeks ago. I was accepted sometime in november, only a month and a half before the semester starts!

HA! You just posted an ad trying to sell your car at AUC.. said you were paranoid about breaking down and getting raped. I bet no one's worrying about that at Ross.
I'm guessing you failed out of Ross and switched to AUC because they were the only ones who would take you.

Electroshok,
I value anyone's post on the site here and most appreciate the ability people have to express their opinions both for and against a school. I have found independent research on these schools to be an invaluable resource. As a student actively pursuing admittance into Ross, would you please elaborate on your previous comment?

My interview is coming up. I have a very specific question. How would my interview questions differ as a student who has children? What types of questions should I anticipate? Please respond if you have been accepted or are currently a student at Ross, and you are a parent. I really want to be as prepared as possible for my interview because I want to attend in May. Thanks!

I interviwed back in october and was accepted exactly 4weeks later. my stats are 19M on the MCAT and 3.4 GPA. I am a parent and had to work my way thru my education while supporting my husband and kid. I am also a Registered Nurse with lots of experience and EC'S. I think my background is really what pulled me thru and offset the low MCAT score. I was given straight admission for the MAY 2010 class but it looks like i will be differing till january 2011 to save tons of money and properly arrange for my trip. Besides I also got 1 interview with an MD school here in the US and 2 DO Interviews. i have my fingers crossed and waiting to see what they may say. anyhow, during my interview with ross, i basically told the lady that i had always had to take care of my child and work full-time. i do not plan to take my family down with me to the island as this will give me all the time to concentrate and don't have to worry about changing diapers. i plan on seeing them only during breaks or when my husband flys down to visit. the first 16months would be crucial and i think that is what will work best for us. with good time management skills, i should be find. hope that helps.

I interviewed on Dec. 8th and got my acceptance call on the 17th. I initially applied for September but asked in the interview if I could move it up to May. I got an 18M on the MCAT with 3.6 GPA. Thought I would get merped. I am a respiratory therapist and had to work my way through premed, so that must have helped out a lot. Congrats to everyone starting in May and see you there!

This is to show that ROSS and many other schools do not ONLY focus on numbers. they look at the whole and see what u as a person are capable of doing. i am glad they saw in me the hard work and dedication despite all odds. i am hoping for the MD-school here though. with God everything is possible so i am having my trust in him. i will have to go hard on prayers, trust me...He answers prayers. He opens doors where they seem to be no way.
