Wise Idea To Send Resume Along With Application?

Is it a wise idea to send in your resume along with your application? Did anyone on this forum who applied send in your resume? Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Why send a resume, it's not a job application. If you want them to know about your work history then mention it in your essay and tie it in w/ how dedicated/responsible you are. As for the application just send them what they ask for.

I respectfully disagree,
instead of sending a RESUME
send a CV ( or Cirriculum Vitae as it were in Latin)
outline your education
research experience
publications ( if any)
extra cirrics, volunteering

i sent in my CV
and they actually asked me questions during my interview by looking at my CV and certain points i had outlined
i RECOMMMEND IT
