Would any students who have been admitted to Saba be kind enough to share any tips on how I may write an excellent personal statement? Should I attempt to make the essay very personal when I compose it?

Thanks to anybody for providing any input.

Make sure the essay is genuine; admissions boards have an uncanny knack for knowing when you've copied and pasted. Also while introducing your reasons for wanting to be a doctor try and tie it in to how you would be well suited to the island and the university specifically.

What the admission committee is probably tired of is reading personal statements that go something along the lines of or some variation of "I want to be a doctor because I want to help people and since I was abused as a child I am now very sensitive to needs of others". Write a statement that is unique, genuine, and to the point.
