The school has a new loan program for US citizens and Permanent Residents. It is a private loan program that is based on your credit score and your academic ability. Interest rates can be as low as 8.14% depending on your credit score. For more information please contact our NY Office at (718) 356-1919 or email our admissions staff.

What are the qualifications to get a loan? What is the current USMLE pass rate and are there going to be rotations for students? Someone told me that no rotations are guaranteed. Does anyone know anything about this?

Qualifications to get a loan:
You have to be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident. You need a co-signer. Private loan programs are primarily based on your credit score. You (or your co-signer) require a credit score of 650 or better. For more detailed information you can visit our website or contact our NY office at (718) 356 1919.
Current USMLE pass rate:
Currently 4 out of 5 students pass the USMLE step 1 (80% pass). For step 2 and 3 the pass rate is above 90%. St. Martinus is a small school that is very quality oriented. The student faculty ratio is kept under 10:1 in order to give enough time to each student. This has led to a USMLE pass rate that is on part with the older established schools in the Caribbean.
Rotations:
Yes, there are rotations for all our students. More specifically we have sufficient core rotations for all our students as well as elective rotations. We have not had any problem placing our students in ACGME Green Book rotations. Of our graduates 70% just matched for Residency positions in the USA.

Fascinating. The mountain has grown so high you need a rocket ship to land another shovel full.

Prospero.
Can you illuminate or illucidate or expand on your comment by acurately articulating your knowledge of the real circumstance at this most prestigious institution of higher learning, where the student faculty ratio is KEPT under 10:1 in order to give enough time to each student?

So, there is essentially no loan program for students from other countries - and where do students get credit ratings of that. we have all been struggling to pay our expenses. If we are bright, but poor, and not a US citizen, or resident, then this is a scam - there is no real loan program offered by this school. Your comments and information is pertinent for what it does not say, rather than what it does. So, I have to write off Martinus, as will most other students.

Unfortunately, Greatdoctor, that is the reality. The US offers a number of loans for US students. Other countries do have programs, but it is much more limited. St. Martinus does have some loans and scholarships (need and merit based) available for students from other countries. You can find details on our webiste. There are many students that St. Martinus has helped face this challange.

Suggest you contact our NY office at (718)356 1919 for more information on the loan programs. Current loan programs available to US citizens and permanent residents are sufficient to cover all of tuition and fees.
