This guy Dr. N got fired from St. Matthews and ran the school like a dictatorship. Watch your back!:D He will now get his devoted transformer robots to post on his behalf.

How so? I truly think some type of order in our school is needed at this point in the time. A lot of good faculty members have left our school to seek better opportunities which including two of our deans that were here since the beginning. As of right now the school needs all the help possible.

Nothing in the world of Caribe Medical School is perfect, but so far, Dr. N has demonstrated a keen style that will propel us into the future. He's a darn good teacher too (think he's won a few awards for that). Maybe a strong dictatorial style is exactly what we need, as long as there isn't too much second guessing from staff not on campus. I have to agree, we are lucky to have Dr. N, and I for one am thrilled. Nothing happens overnight, but there are great things coming.

St Matthew was used and abused by Dr. N, but at the end, it managed to get rid of him with the least possible damages. The owners did not want to fire him because he knew a lot of dirt about that school and they were worried he would act impulsively and emotionally in a way that he discloses very important classified information that may end that school. They humiliated him and stripped him out of all power so he gave up and resigned at the end. St Matthew was eventually released of captivity and born again.

I feel sorry for St Eustatius that it took the bait and did not do the enough home work and the references every school does before hiring anyone or maybe there was no alternative as no one would take that position considering the money it pays and the living condition in that island.

Take all accusations about Dr. N with a grain of salt guys. He was my Dean throughout Basic Sciences at SMU, and he did an awesome job. His door was always open, and he wasn't afraid to take issues up with the Admin, when deemed necessary. What more can you ask for as a student?

He was not fired, he resigned...... there's a HUGE difference! If they thought Dr. N was not meeting expectations per the job description, then they would have fired him without hesitation. Instead, he put in his notice a full semester in advance, and didn't talk trash about the Admin/School on the way out, even when pressed upon during Student/Dean meetings.

What exactly is your problem? Are you just bored with life, and frustrated at you own problems? Is there a constructive bone in your body?

Don't know what ihuss and Americanfmg's problems are exactly, but as a former SMU student (and current SEUSOM student) I gotta say that Dr. N was one of the best things about SMU. He was not only one of the best teachers there, but probably one of the best teachers and dean that I've ever had (in any school). He is very approachable, has an open door policy, listens to the students, and puts the students first. I remember one semester, they hired a new teacher for path. He was absolutely horrible. No direction, no teaching/lesson plan, etc... We complained to Dr. N and he got rid of him posthaste. He was always listening to the students and doing things that we wanted. There were a few racists at the school who didn't like Dr. N because of his race and faith, but the vast majority of students really loved the guy. You could go to him with any problem and he would do his best to help you out. I feel much better about the future of Sint Eustatius knowing that he is a part of the school now. We are very lucky to have him. I see a bright future for our school!

Oh and btw... He wasn't a "dictator" at all. He was very easy going and he would always listen to the students. I never once saw him do something without the consent of the students unless it was something from the higher ups which he had no control over.

wow...i would think Dr. N's race would have played a huge factor on some peoples opinion of him, I for one would have been very excited to have him as a Dean once i start (haven't yet) just the mans smile makes me think he loves life!

Well. The ONLY person that knows Dr. N the MOST would be Angelman because he spent 5 semesters at St. M back in 2005-2007. So if you guys have any questions about Dr. N, just ask Angelman. He is not too hard to find. He is currently in 5th term and here is a picture of him.

Dr. N was one of my favorite professors. As Dean he was very fair but at the same time strict. He has very high expectations from every one. If you disappoint him he will definitely let you know.

He is definitely an asset for S. Eustatius.

What about that shelf exam scandal that Dr. N was the ring leader of it? Leaking the shelf exam questions to some faculty members and have them review them to the class and then give these faculty the awards as best teachers. His most favorite faculty back in SMU did not even speak good English and after Dr. N left he left too! Is that ethical? The NBME could have never allowed that school to get any more shelf exam had they known about it.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Which professor left that couldnt speak english? All the professors I had spoke english.

I know that during the white coat ceremony, the class would elect their favorite professor. Dr. N never gave out any awards.
